The Curated Library presents bespoke concrete hearths, plinths, and bench-tops from our sister division, Concrete By Hatch. Specialising in GFRC (glass fibre re-inforced concrete), they have been crafting durable, finely finished pieces since 2017.

Concrete By Hatch is a leading provider of GFRC Fire Surrounds. All pieces are made off-site in our Inverloch workshop on the Bass Coast of Victoria and delivered on site as a finished product. We are currently servicing the South Gippsland, Bass Coast, Mornington Peninsula, Melbourne and Greater Melbourne areas. Please contact us if you are further afield.

GFRC is the perfect non-combustible, sustainable and minimal choice for multiple fireplace surround options. Our clients also have the ability to choose from our selection of beautiful standard concrete colour-ways, or can provide us with a paint chip and we can custom match for you.

Concrete By Hatch has worked with many clients over the years and can provide standalone concrete supply and installation or, thanks to our design and construction expertise, take your project from concept through to completion. Instead of coordinating multiple trades yourself, we manage all trades involved—including licensed fireplace installation—reducing the complex logistics and costs often associated with building custom fireplace walls.

We can ensure your design will be appropriately project managed and be designed to pass the appropriate building regulations and fireplace model installation requirements..

    (3-Sided C Shaped Hearth, Note: Combustible Flooring may also require a Floor Mount hearth)

  • Freestanding Pedestal with Steel Wood Box
    (3-Sided Hearth with Custom Steel Wood Storage Box for support and functionality)

  • Floor Mount Hearth
    (Concrete Sheet Installed flush with Finished Floor Level)

  • Benchtop Hearth with Legs
    (Installed supported with legs, custom steel wood box and joinery - if desired)‍ ‍

  • Wall-Hung Benchtop Hearth
    (Supported by engineered steel supports built into wall - requires a builder and in-wall works)

  • Concrete Alfresco Benchtops

  • Window and Bench Seats (we can also arrange upholstered cushions custom-sized to fit)
